About Toni Steelz
The Woman, real name Glenda Martinez is of Garifuna Decent, a tribe
based in Honduras, Central America. Born and raised in East New York,
Brooklyn, Toni developed a style and edge like no other. She’s an
Independent female with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Paying dues for
over 10yrs she has accomplished plenty.
Winner of the Amateur night @ the Apollo high school series in 1995,
to the Underground Music Awards 2004 nominee in 2 categories for Best
New Original song and Best Duo with “HoodChicks” for “Throw Ya Handz
Up”, then becoming Underground Music Award Winner 2009 as part of a male
female duo called BLACKSTEELZ for “Best Rap Duo of the Year”. Formerly
known as “N’Finite”, Steelz rocked the stage with the now defunct group
Krusadaz being the only female in a five-man band. Toni has worked with
producers such as Taz of KutDaCheck Productions, Canei Finch, Raheim
Beyah formerly of Czar Entertainment and currently Jimi Kendrix and
Tymeout of Contract Muzik who are helping brand that ToniSteelz sound.
ToniSteelz is no stranger to the stage having performed in the
E.A.R.S/Life Beat Showcases, Plug In U In Showcases, Get Your Buzz Up,
A&R Power Summit, in venues such as, Blvd (Crash Mansion) NYC,
Remote Lounge, NYC, Key Club, NJ, The Triad, NYC, Don Hills (NYC), BB
Kings (NYC), Times Square Arts Center (NYC), SOB’S (NYC) and many more.
